Renee Kapolwitz holds a B.A. in Music and has studied at the University of Arkansas and North Texas State University. She performs in several genres including classical, jazz, musical theatre, rhythm and blues, and gospel. She has had the honor of playing with luminaries as Pharoah Sanders and David “Fathead” Newman.

Renee has been teaching music and voice for more than 20 years in a variety of settings. She has taught “Infant and Mommy and Daddy” classes. She has experience teaching beginning piano lessons and voice to students as young as 3 and seniors in their 80s.

Renee is a member of the National, State and Austin District Music Teachers’ Association. She incorporates music theory in her teaching which enables students to teach themselves; several of Renee’s students have gone on to win awards and accolades in competitions.
