Monica Howell
Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, Ukulele, Mandolin - South (In person), Online

Monica has played the violin since she was 8 years old, and the piano since she was 4. She can play pretty much any music with strings. Monica has a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance from Lawrence Conservatory of Music in Appleton, Wisconsin. In 1998 she attended the Henry Mancini Institute in Los Angeles, where she was also featured in a documentary chronicling the experiences of the promising young musicians at the Institute.

 

Monica has performed all over the world, including at Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl. She can play with a variety of styles including Classical, Jazz, Rock, Country, Bluegrass and Celtic.  Monica has performed with artists as diverse as The Moody Blues, Diana Krall, Oscar Peterson, Joe Lovano, The Gatlin Brothers, Neil Sedaka, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.

 

She teaches beginner and advanced violin lessons at our ASM South location. Monica enjoys working with young children and homes to publish a method book for young violinists.
