Location -- Austin School of Music North
Josh started at the early age of 5 with a plastic Mickey Mouse Guitar and was singing from the crib. At the age of 9 he started playing the upright bass. At 10 he started learning drums and was mixing sound for his Father’s 12-piece R&B show band. Josh has been exposed to music scene since he was a child. Having several bands in his teen years, he continued to perfect his music skills.
Now as an adult, Josh has been teaching at the Austin School of Music for the past 6 years. He plays frequently in several bands in the Austin, TX area, including The Lost Counts, Golden Dawn Arkestra, Chicken Strut, Sniz & Friends and more. Josh has been very fortunate to share the stage with many greats in the Funk/Soul/Jazz scene, including, George Porter (The Meters), Robert Walter (20th Congress & Greyboy Allstars), Karl Denson (KDTU & Greyboy Allstars), Chris Stillwell (KDTU& Greyboy Allstars), Eddie Roberts (New Mastersounds), Simon Lott (20th Congress, Charlie Hunter & Context Killa) and many more.
Josh can teach many styles of music and still continues to successfully teach many students at The Austin School of Music.
