I have been playing and teaching music since I arrived in Austin, TX in the early 80's to study trumpet with The Late, Great Professor Emeritus, Raymond Crisara at UT Austin. 

 

Experience includes private and small brass classes in Leander ISD, Elgin ISD, Austin ISD and others. Still active teaching in Round Rock ISD, Bastrop ISD and my own private students. I love to teach and would enjoy sharing my experience with you!

 

My playing and recording career includes pop and rock groups The Temptations and Eyes Adrift. Blues experience with Jimmie Vaughn, Sue Foley, The Texas Horns and Anson Funderburgh. Western Swing and Country experience includes Asleep At The Wheel, Rick Trevino and Alex Dormont and Hot TX Swing Band. Tex Mex experience includes Little Joe y La Familia, Ruben Ramos and The Texas Tornados. Jazz experience includes John Mill Times 10, Tonic Big Band and Wasabi Big Band, New Original Works (NOW) Orchestra and Wasabi Big Band. Cover band experience includes The Pictures, The Argyles and Buzz and the Blue Cats. New Orleans Brass Band experience includes The King William Brass Band at Fiesta TX during their annual Martigras celebration. Soundtrack recording experience includes "Bernie" movie (Jack Black, Matthew McConaughey) scored by Graham Reynolds and 10 episodes of the 2019 Netflix Original Series "Seis Manos" scored by Carl Thiel.

I play as often as my schedule allows in the Waterloo Wind Band under the direction of Kerry Taylor, longtime Director of Bands at Westlake HS and Fine Arts Director of Westlake ISD.
